Words of Encouragement

Enjoy Life!

What will it take for you to get up, live and enjoy life? You may have to spend a few moments to think about this question. Evaluate your life right now by looking at your daily routine. Find the stress factors and hit them head on! Then find the joy factors; the good things that make you laugh and smile. Once you've found them, think about them constantly to keep yourself lifted up. You will find your days will begin and end much differently than before.

Joy Joy Joy

Remember the song, "Joy" by  Georgia Mass Choir? What a mighty song! Sweet, beautiful, soul saving joy is what the song says. It describes the feeling of knowing God and having such a intimate relationship with Him that starts early in the morning and carries over past midnight. Just knowing that we have the opportunity to talk to God daily and that He hears us should bring us a great joy. John 15:11 "These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full."

Watch Your Words!

Our words can put us in places of victory or places of defeat. We must be careful in how we choose to respond at all times because whatever we speak will surely come to pass. Proverbs 6:2 "Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth."

Speak faith-filled, love-filled words!

Press

The Word of God says "Do not be weary in well doing." I am so glad God said this because we can work and work and work til it seems like there is just no reward at the end of the tunnel. When this happens, adjust your spiritual lens cap. When you do this you will be able to see the finishing line. Galatians 6:9 & 2 Thessalonians 3:13

Be Free!

As we go along in life we experience a lot of different things, some good and some good. Take the good things and reflect upon them and let them push you to keep moving forward. Allow the bad things that you have experienced push you to move forward as well. Don't let them hold you captive and keep you down. The longer you allow it the longer it will stay. I say to you, "Be free today." Allow God to free you so you can have room for more good experiences. GALATIANS 5:1

Listen Carefully

Be Encouraged

Sometimes things don't work out the way they should have or the way we wanted them to but don't be discouraged or lose focus. Keep moving forward and let God guide you through.

Smile Big!

Today is not the day to be down, sad or frowny! It may seem like it can't be a time to smile when so much negativity is going on around you; however, if you don't smile, you run the risk of what's AROUND you to GET IN you. "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones." Proverbs 17:22

Procrastination

Procrastination is not anyone's friend. If you are moving towards your goal or dream do not allow this huge speed bump to get hold of you. It will go from "I'm going to do" to "I intended to" and then "I forgot". When God speaks to you to do or say something at a particular time, it's best to go ahead and do it then. John 13:27

His Strength

The Lord is their strength; and he is the saving strength of his anointed. Psalms 28:8

Just Laugh!

There are some things that may be going on in your life right now which seems like it warrants a good swift kick in the rear; however,  instead of reacting negatively just laugh out loud. I know it sounds crazy to some but laughter can help you in more ways than you think. All you have to do is just open your mouth and let it out! It will heal you. Proverbs 17:22; Proverbs 15:13

Careful, Careful!

This morning I was double tasking, eating breakfast while gathering the trash together to be taken out. In the midst of being in a hurry to get the trash, I dumped it too fast and it spilled. Lesson learned. Take your time in doing whatever it is you need to do...not too fast...but also not too slow. How do you do this? Ask God to pace you and you'll find yourself at the right speed. Philippians 4:6; Titus 3:8

Be Excited!

Excitement fills the air when you know something good is about to happen to you, for you, through you or to those around you. We are to be happy about the blessings God gives and the good things that happens to others. Gladness has already been planted for the upright in heart so everyday we should have a smile on our faces and laugh because we are taken care of. Psalm 97:11

Be Patient

There are a lot of things we may want to do in life or things we are expecting which excites us, and that's good. However, we must be careful not to let the excitement cause us to rush God in what He is doing for us, especially when we are unprepared. It's just like kids, for example, who argue that not only can they drive but can drive just as good you can. They know they haven't studied a driver's manual or even had the first lesson but as far they are concerned they're the expert and you, well, you're the test dummy. Unfortunately, that's how we treat God sometimes. Think about it.

Let us be patient so we can enjoy the precious fruit God has for us both now and later. James 1:4 & James 5:7-8
